Assistant Director

We're hiring a live-on Assistant Director for Residential Life to provide effective supervision and
development of student staff and to oversee the lower campus residence halls, thematic houses,
and/or fraternity and sorority chapter houses. The department works with approximately 3,000
diverse, talented, intellectually-sophisticated, undergraduate students seeking a demanding,
expansive, liberal arts residential education.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide development and oversight for the junior and senior residential experience;
• Assist with the management of housing processes;
• Oversee various department operations and communications;
• Collaborate with campus partners, as well as students, families, and supporters; and
• Serve as part of the division on-call rotation for residential life.

The successful candidate will demonstrate their ability to excel through their capacity to work
collaboratively, communicate effectively, manage conflict, demonstrate commitment to diversity,
equity, and inclusion, and ability to apply knowledge of student development theory. The Assistant
Director reports to the Associate Director of Lower Campus & Operations.
