The Residence Coordinator (RC), is a live-in, essential personnel staff member, and reports to the Associate Director of Residential & Student Life. This person is responsible for daily community development of residential curriculum, facilities management, and property oversight of 1-2 residential facilities on campus. Supervision of paraprofessional staff members, programming management, fostering student growth and development, and managerial organization are some of the essential daily functions of this staff member. The Residence Coordinator will also serve as a level one conduct officer with the Office of Community Standards. Residence Coordinators may be asked to advise student organizations on campus. Residence Coordinators have collateral assignments to support growth for the Office of Residential & Student Life and the Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management. Finally, the Residence Coordinator will serve in an emergency, on-duty rotation with other members of the Office of Residential & Student Life.
Qualifications
Required: Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of two years post-baccalaureate residence life/student life experience.

Preferred: Master’s degree in Student Personnel, Student Affairs, or Higher Education Administration, or related field.

Previous supervisory experience and experience managing student conduct issues and a demonstrated understanding of issues facing college students. Experience developing residence hall communities, providing educational and personal support for students through programming, responding to student concerns and behaviors, advising student groups, facility and administrative management, and participation in department initiatives and campus life is preferred. Experience participating on committees and/or working groups. Experience reporting and following up on maintenance, safety, and security concerns of building facilities. Understanding of residential programming.

The Residential Coordinator position has an annually renewable contract and an anticipated maximum of 5 years of service.
